I still can't believe I managed to pull this off.
I guess my Pixel5 thinks it's a potato today...
No idea who this person is at my office complex, but shiver me timbers they have good taste in rapidly depreciating vehicles.
This 912 has a Subaru EJ STI Type C 2.0l boxer with a custom intercooler and Porsche 5 speed. Built in the owners garage by him and his brother. The Mini was well cared for as well. Spotted in Newport Beach, CA.
The helmet was just for laughs
9 years ago today (thanks google photos!) I was inspecting a property in a canyon and I stumbled across this 1977 Dodge Monaco CHP patrol car. It still had the 440, and 2.73 gears, so it wasn't the quickest off the line but would really fly given the room on the highway. It was parked at a mechanics shop and I asked the guy there if it was for sale. He gave me a customers card who owned it and I called him three or four times and left messages. A few years later I drove up there again and it was gone. What was really appealing was that it was a flat top originally and it still had all the cop stuff inside. Would have been great to clear coat it as is, and drive around playing the Peter Gunn Theme with sunglasses on.
@aestheticsinmotion Sure, but didn't the make like 250 and they were Euro market only?
I drove a 2000 Turbo for a while. My Mom bought it and then my brother had a baby and she went out and got a Volvo wagon, so I made the payments for a while until she decided to sell it. It was a manual and was a hoot to drive. TBH I mostly keep making the payment because my girlfriend was home from Brown that summer and when I picked her up from the airport she flipped over how cute is was and probably put up with my dumb ass for another 3 months because of it. Never drove an S though. Thing could have used 20 more HP that's for sure.
