& the boost. I'm beyond excited for this. Insurance is all worked out, just waiting to sign the papers. The importer is still doing the PDI. So I have have an estimate for the final price, but not an exact price(I won't say, but it's quite reasonable for an import). It's waiting on parts from France right now.
As for the Juke I will still have it. The plan is to store the Megane over the winter, & maybe sell the Juke in the spring.

It got the booty.

They say don't meet your heros, but I did and oh by' it was good.
I TEST DROVE THE MEGANE. Have some shitty phone pictures.
1st the hand brake...
Inside it was real comfy, seat has great support.
Putting gas in it so I could test drive it 4 people asked about it, then at red lights everyone looks.
The stickers are staying on, they are too cool.
The brakes are real good, the handling is amazing, the chassis feels really good. The engine, oh the engine. Nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing, BOOOSSSSTTTTTTT. Proper boost, hard hitting toss you in the back of the seat.
The pearlscent paint too, that is stunning.

$104.59, that's it.
The final payout on the Juke. I own it now.
I did it, I fucking did it. -
"It's too rusty, don't get it." Naw is a BC, it's mint.
BC uses sand on their roads, not salt.
The under side is clean, just rust on the rear 1/4, but not much.
Taking my brothers truck, & U-Haul car trailer on Saturday. Get ready for Tercel posting. -
Caution, Mustang wheels on a Juke.
It looks way better than it has any right too.
Funny thing about the brakes with these wheels. I had bend the tabs for the brake sliders back as they hit the inside of the wheels.

What did I sign up for. The Tercel is home.
I'm doing a more in depth look at it tomorrow, but it came with lots of parts. I know it has most the parts to rebuild the engine, & all parts the the brakes. The engine does turn over, & it shifts smoothly. Yay.
Smiling is a sign of pain later on. I do like the original 1981 dealer sticker, it has a University of British Columbia parking pass on it too, it expired in 1985.
but the engine, the PO before my friend killed the cam shaft bearing writing off the cylinder head.
My brother's Tacoma pulled it great, as expected slow on the hills. I avg'd 19L/100km or 12mpg.
All the parts it came with.
I do have a plan for some incredibly rare & period correct wheels with a F1 connection.
-
You won't believe these came off a 85 year camera.
I'm in shock honestly.
1st up Ilford Delta 400
Next Lomography colour negative 800. It's nice price wise, & I do like the results.
Last isyellow crackPorta 400.

The truth behind an absurd Secret Senna.
The box, it was huge. Simba wanted it.
Then my 1st time seeing it, I knew it be good.
The desgin was a combination of boredom, self-isolation, & beer. Well, then it became. The original copy had no checkered flag overlay.
Then finding a local print shop to make it real. The original plan was 2ft x 2ft, but I figured 5ft x 5ft was more reasonable.
For a cost reason I'll never do this again. -
I told my self I keep the Tercel OEM+.
That lasted about 1 minute. I'm doing a period correct build on it.
1st are the wheels, & they are absolute bangers. One of a few, possibly the only set in North America. Walter Wolf Racing RA-1s.
Walter Wolf rebadged a 2 Bridgestone wheels way back. Both are super rare, but the RA-1 is the unicorn.
They are 15x6.5 +13. They cost way too much, but they look cool as hell. Then for suspension I'm looking at doing air suspension. Mechanically I'm looking at putting a Weber 32/36DGEV carb on it. Weber does sell a bolt on kit for the 3A. That also eliminates the EGR stuff too. Probably good for 3hp, but the visual gains & intake noises.
What rabbit hole did I go down?

Managed to meet an internet stranger again & not die.
See @CB s sweet rental.
I dragged him into the small hick town I live & go to the local watering hole for food. Talked about his (job redacted), & talked shit. It was good. 1/10 would not recommend talking to another Oppo in person.

More film.
It started with a FB market place find, a 120 back for the Koni-Omega. For $20 is it worked great, if not parts. Good news, it worked. It had a unknown expired roll of Kodak Plus X in it with 9 shots left on it. I figured it was between 50-10 years expired, so I pushed it 2 stops.
I dropped off 10 rolls to get developed, & bought some.
They had rerolled 120 onto 620 rolls, & there has been Kodak Brownie Hawkeye at home forever. I bought a roll of it to try.
Looking at it it is rerolled Extar 100.I am broke now, film costs monies.

A fun experiment coming. 35mm film in a medium format.
This roll of film got accidentally exposed so it's no good, no film was ruined to test fit it. I won't use the Zeiss to run it, but put it test fit it. I bought a 220 film back for the Kono-Omega to run it. Since it has the plunger that sets the spacing.
Time for maths.
120 & 220 is the same diameter & width, but 220 is a longer roll.
120 is around 80cms long.
220 is around 144cms long.
A 36 shot of 35mm is around 164cms long.
Put the 35mm in a 220 film back, & it should work.
