Have you tried not buying a Nissan with a VQ series engine?

Funding?
I appreciate the work that has been put into this so far, and this looks like it could be a fine landing spot.
So, my point is, I would like to chip in a few bucks to help with the costs. I have no idea how much it costs to run a website, but I know it isn't free.
Any way a payment link or something could be set up to help defer the costs at all? -
RE: Screaming chicken asking big bucks
That is not a real bandit TA.
Hell, the chicken is even on the wrong way.
I'll take Barret Jackson's word over Craigslist guy -

I think the worst offender may be TLC. Used to stand for The Learning Channel. Now a more fitting acronym may be Terrible Lousy Crap -
RE: A Dealership Just Lost My Business With Lies (Not Surprisingly)
I don't understand how some of these dealers are still in business. The only thing I can gather is they have a lot of legacy customers who will buy from them no matter what.
When I bought my Golf Sportwagen last year, everything was done online. It was a simple process, as it should be.
Years ago I went with my wife when she was buying her car. She wanted to do everything by herself, so I let her, I was just there for support. Well, they were screwing around with her trade, and I had enough. After them ignoring her asking for her keys a couple of times, I slap my hand down on the desk and demand to get the keys back in a rather loud voice. We get the keys back in about 30 seconds, and a trade in offer about 2500 over book value. I'm kind of a large guy, I think I scared the salesman/front desk manager

I see three dots, and I really wish it could be changed to three seashells

@boxer_4
Well, I can't figure how to flag.... but here's a flag
Unless it's the flag_title option?

RE: HALT! or whatever is Finnish for stop
You'd probably never have to do the brakes again.

RE: I’ve acquired a thing
Seriously jealous. I don't think there was a bad Honda in the late 80's. I had an 85 Prelude that I loved and stupidly got rid of for a Chevy Beretta that caught fire two days after I bought it.

RE: I win the 4x4 wars
@essextee always like the Hardbody. Friend of mine in high school back in the early 90's had one slightly lifted and it looked awesome.

RE: Track, Burn, Daily
Even with a manual, the Crosstrek feels underpowered.
So daily the Kia, track the Mini, and flambe the Subaru -
RE: High school kids cars these days.
I graduated high school in 94. I had an 86 Honda Accord. Most kids had cars that were roughly 5-10 years old, with a few exceptions.
One girl had a new Foxbody Mustang, which she wrapped around a tree. Then her parents bought her another one which she totaled too. Then they got her an Explorer. I can only imagine she rolled that (which Ford blamed on Firestone)
Another classmate had a brand new S13 240SX convertible which he bought brand new after working his ass off doing odd jobs, and then our parking lot flooded like two weeks after he bought it, and his car got the worst of it. Felt bad for him.Funny side note about high school. I'm convinced our janitor was a former car thief. He had a slim jim for when kids locked their keys in their cars. He could get into any car in about ten seconds, except for certain german cars.
Also, the lunch lady had a gorgeous Porsche 968. Apparently her husband was loaded and bought it for her. -
RE: Help me with car buying options Oppo
You mentioned the MK6 TDI. What vehicle? What about a MK7 Golf Alltrack or Sportwagon? If the ride height is too low, maybe a small lift kit? I'm sure there has to be something available that would work

RE: Norm Macdonald?!? awwwwww man :(
I'm bummed about this. Always loved Norm's comedy. Saw him doing stand up a couple of years ago. Glad I got to see him before he passed.

RE: TIL my mom's husband was supposed to have been on Junkyard Wars
I loved watching that show. I kind of always wondered how much planted stuff they had in that junkyard. Some of the stuff they "found" just seemed too convenient

RE: What's Your Browser Homepage?
@mark-tucker
I switched to duck duck go a couple of years ago after hearing them talk about it all the time on NPR. It's so nice not to be bombarded by ads of something I looked up once. If I have a complaint, it's that it uses Apple maps, and I much prefer Google's maps. -
RE: This is now a sadly dead colour thread
Also teal. It is such a fun color. And there were some great hues of it too.

RE: Maverick is out <$20k starting hybrid cvt FWD standard, 2.0t awd available
I'm really liking this truck. Although there's a part of me that's a little bummed because I have exactly zero reason to buy a new car. My Golf Sportwagen is only a little over a year old.
This is the small truck I've been waiting for someone to make. And given the pricing, I'm really curious how Hyundai is going to price the Santa Cruz. It's going to have to come in cheaper than the Ford, as I can't imagine people would pay the premium for the Hyundai
