RE: To AGM, or to not AGM?
@facw newer Optimas are shitty. I had both a red top and a yellow top and they didn't last and wouldn't hold a charge once dead, which defeats the purpose of a deep cycle.

RE: Good news and bad news
@TheJWT "7M" found your problem
I LOVE the 7M, but I'd never want another (I've had 7, yes, seven 7Ms). I don't know about the Crown, but we were able to swap in a 2JZGE (NA) from a 1992 Lexus SC 300 into my 92 Supra and ran it completely off the 7Ms sensors and electronics, nothing special needed if I can recall correctly (it's been almost a decade). You do need to run electrical fans, but I think that was it.

RE: Who thinks of these codes????
Could be worse, like BMWs where the M engines are standard and the S engines are for M models....

RE: You can hardly tell...
@Snuze of course it's damaged, [Tom] Cruze does all his own stunts!
I'm sorry

RE: Blue Got Busted
@facw I'm in WV and they don't emission test in my county (Kanawha)

RE: There is nothing like a good pizza and Little Caesars is nothing like a good pizza.
Ask for it fresh. Wait your 15 minutes, instead of getting a Hot and ready, and you'll see the difference. 🤌

RE: R.I.P. car battery 2009-2022
The airscoops for the batteries Mazda put on the 1st gen 3s really seems to help. My Mazdaspeed3 has a small scoop coming off the intercooler scoop to get the battery.

RE: Targa Mode Activated
@Krusty-Walnut just remember these were made to take R12, so keep on mind you might have to convert it to R134a

RE: Targa Mode Activated
@Krusty-Walnut I had a 89 just like that. Looks like a late 89/90 due to the lower 6250 redline (had a more balanced "7M" crank and the engine block has extra ribbing. The 86.5-88s have the "6M" crank, with 6500rpm redline).

Engines available only in a single model.
Besides bespoke engines for hypercars, what engines can you think of available only in a single model?
The Infiniti FX50 (and later when renamed the QX70) was the only model available with the VK50VE, nothing else.
The Eunos (Mazda) Cosmo was the only car to haul around the 20B-BEW 3 rotor!
Finally, the Acura RDX was the only model to carry the black sheep K23A1 TURBO 4cyl from Honda. It was one of the most engines ever, and was quickly tossed in favor of a V6 with more power and better gas mileage.

@Boxer_4 I thought it was the only nerd that knew this info. Fellow ToyotaNation alumni?
