Some people are clueless.
After developing a dry cough late Friday afternoon, then terrible chills that I couldn't shake and put me in bed for the majority Saturday, dressed as if there wasn't any heat yet the thermostat was set at 68. The heated mattress pad wasn't any help either. After 8 hours or so of freezing, I decided to take 4 extra strength Tylenol and returned to bed. Within 45 minutes I was burning up, temperature was 99.9, then a couple hours later down to 98.1.
Seeing that my job entails working in close proximity with the youths, in a school system that had just recently gone fully remote due to Covid outbreaks, I thought a test should be done and the online questionnaire agreed. I wanted a rapid test, but those are not easy to find these days, so I searched the area to find where to go and who had the earliest appointment. Turns out a CVS 25 miles away could do the test at noon on Sunday.
I arrived late, by about 8 minutes for my appointment, although I was heading out early. Turns out the interior lights in my F150 had been on since Friday and drained the battery. Back in the garage, I grab a cord and my charger/booster, and a couple minutes later the truck is running. Now I can't find my glasses. I had them when I initially went out. Retrace my steps, check under hood of truck, finally found them resting on top of my motorcycle's right saddle. Must have put them their when grabbing the cord....
The Covid test was done at the pharmacy drive-thru with an NP guiding me through the process from inside. I pretty much knew the procedure, having done a test drive-thru test at the local HS in September. I was instructed that results would take 24-48 hours due to the volume of testing.
Much relief this morning, less than 24 hours after taking the test, the results were in. NEGATIVE! I feel relieved and free to move about after being in quarantine for all of 2 days. I am going to work in 45 minutes
Thanks for caring, and stay safe.
May need to get the kickstand to complete the set.
