I looked at a 1990 Mustang GT convertible in March... it was $5k and ran great, but the underbody was rusty. I found this on Craigslist listed for $2k, but got it for $1,600.
1992 Volvo 740 wagon. It's been repainted at some point... it turns on a dime! I wish modern cars had tight turning circles
Brown RWD manuel V8 wagon. The engine is a stock Volvo B230F 4 cylinder that originally cranked out 114hp.
This is what the engine bay looked like when I looked at it. The car had 132,700-something miles on it.
Also wiped down the engine bay... not perfect but a bigly improvement
Lols no AC.... no belt to the compressor + the signal wire is damaged.
The day I brought it home. Previous owner took it across the country from NY to California and back.
It came with these roof racks, which I removed for now.
The seat bottoms are torn... I got the car detailed afterwards.
Upgraded to fancy faux diamond pattern leather
plenty of dead body storage
even have the original cargo mat!
so the bumpers were faded...
restored them with this
also did it to the side trim and mirrors
dat air filter
flushed the ATF
the biggest problem the car had was it wouldn't always start first try. The previous owner replaced the alternator, battery, and starter. Turns out, it was the fuel pressure regulator... it starts first try now
got a bluetooth FM transmitter so I can make calls and listen to music
also found a tape to 3.5mm adapter.... tested it out in the garage
after a wash
I try to keep it clean... also the tires are in good shape too!
The place I got it detailed actually does detailing for the local Volvo dealer so they tossed in rubber mats, including this cargo mat from an current-gen XC60.
Mom and I took it a couple times to get plants
garage life, tho mostly it stays outside
bonding with my dad's XC60. fun fact, the 740 has more interior cargo space.
speedo.... now it has almost 134,000 miles
the back seat
my ram makes a cameo appearance too
they get along well. the 740 rides pretty well and runs very smoothly. Much better than when I got it... new oil, new ATF, new fuel filter, new fuel pressure regulator... it really made a huge difference in how it drives.
