It's not some sad story.
The tl;dr: started drinking a lot during covid and by the end of the year I was going through a bottle of whisky per weekend. Still love drinking, but I can't have it any alcohol in the house otherwise I'll definitely drink it.
No judgement passed on anyone here, it's just something I need to do for myself. I wanted to post since I'm at just about two weeks without a drink (which is the longest I've gone without in a LONG time, including the before covid times) and I find that on Fridays I think about it a lot, meaning it's become a habit.
It's a good time to take a break. Not planning on quitting, but definitely need to break the habit.
So, I guess for the next few "what's oppo drinking tonight" threads it's going to be this:
At least it's tastier than most beers. Plus I still have my cannabis, which I won't be taking a break from since it doesn't make me want to die the next day like liquor does sometimes.
