Well the tree this year needed a little help to keep it from tipping over. Good thing I like lifting weights. 40 pounds and it's rock solid. My wife and I have been cutting our own trees at a local tree farm and we like the weirdos. Also helps the tree farm out by taking the weirdos.

Incredibly Bad Idea Possibly Happening
Soooooo,
I found a craigslist ad for two 1985 Jaguar XJS's with V12's. I have been wanting both an XJS and a V12 for another project. Somehow my wife said yes to this. I've sent an email with some questions but if everything works out....
JAAAAAAAGSSSSSS!!!!!

WHY WASN'T I INFORMED!?!?
My sister sent me this link. This museum invited people to come dressed in inflatable T-Rex costumes for the new T-Rex exhibit. I HAVE AN INFLATABLE SUIT! WHERE'S MY MEMO!?!?

Saw Some Cars, Didn't Die.
Went to Street Machine Nationals in Minneapolis, MN and met up with @derp to see some cars. These were the cars that really stood out to me,
Supercharged 3.8 RWD Dodge Daytona.
This guy is also working on a 1981 Oldsmobile Super Omega that he swapped the 2.0 AWD drivetrain from a Saab 9-3x into.
https://www.hagerty.com/media/car-profiles/reviving-junkyard-olds-omega/Also saw this wild Harley former trike now car? thing.
Saw this Coyote swapped/6 speed Lincoln Mk VIII
And finally this wee baby Nash Metropolitan that had suicide doors and I think a 4.3 Chevy V6 swapped in. I mainly took photos of this for my wife because it's so tiny!

F*** Obsolete Parts!!! (UPDATED)
Ugh, I just made this for a ceiling fan in a house I'm trying to sell. I broke two of the blade arms a couple years ago. Initially I only thought I broke one and I was able to find one on eBay. But while getting ready to sell the place I discovered that there was a second one broken and and I could not purchase another one. The house has a vaulted ceiling and three ceiling fans and they are focal point of the house. They are also thermostatically controlled. These are not cheap fans and I really didn't want to spend $600 to $1000 to get them replaced. Of course it was also made out of zinc which is denser than aluminum so I had to modify how big it was. Thank God for Solidworks being able to calculate mass. Stupid fan.
(UPDATE) FUCK!!! I have to remake it. Missed an offset somewhere. Parts wrong by 1/4".

RE: What's your dream road trip and car for the job?
@CB right now it's Route 66 in my 1980 Firebird. The reality is that it's not happening anytime soon for me. I don't need my car to be perfect but I do need it to have some semblance of an interior. Mice made sure I don't have one at the moment.
