I put in my two weeks at the Volvo dealership on Saturday and I couldn't be happier. Dealership life absolutely sucks when you have a family. Thankfully I found a company doing underwriting for transportation lines that gives me a normal 9-5 M-F schedule again. No more Saturdays!!!! Plus I get more PTO than I had here AND twice the amount of paid holidays. For anybody looking to work at a car dealership, my advice is don't. 2 1/2 years here was 2 1/2 years too long.

Have a nice M2 Comp (my favorite car I ever sold) for your time.

Finishing up my last few days here, so I’m trying to take advantage of the scenery as much as I can for photos!

I did a thing. Swapped out the old Elevate lowering springs and stock struts for a set of KW V3 coilovers. Ride is definitely a lot stiffer now, but the look is just perfect, and it handles amazingly.

Of all the dumb things Clarkson has said, this is the one that's gonna get him the ax? I'm not excusing the comment by any means. It was crude and uncalled for. But it's just strange this of all the things he's said is the straw that breaks the camel's back. It's honestly tame for something from Clarkson.

I vote for the Tmax purely based on the livery. Would the Honda be the more sensible answer? Probably. Do we do "sensible" around here though? Absolutely not.

@Peter_Black So, there was a very corrupt small rural town about an hour away from where I live that had two of these for their police force. Their town was a notorious speed trap and they would write you tickets for stuff they made up as "town ordinances". Needless to say, our state government got wind of it and ended up coming in and shutting them down. But not before the police chief shot the mayor on the courthouse steps. Crazy place.

@CoolMinivan-Nobody Hmmm, I might have to do that for the rest of the mounts on the Volvo. I've already replaced the upper-engine torque mount with a billet / poly one. But the other two I've left stock after hearing how bad the vibrations are once they're replaced with the poly ones. This sounds like a good compromise.

@rctothefuture The seats themselves were fine for me. It was just the fact that they didn't go far enough back and my knees were hitting the dashboard. When it comes to muscle cars, I've always considered my self a GM guy. But as much as I hate the reputation the Mustang has along with the stereotype of the people that drive them, lately I've been really wanting a last-gen (S550) GT350 or an RTR. But I'll stick with my Volvo for now as it's still an absolute blast to drive.

The Charleston Battery refers to the battery of cannons along a seawall in downtown Charleston; a site that dates back to the Revolutionary War where it had been a fort for some time.

Damn, that actually looks really good. I tried out the last-gen GT86 and it was just a little too small for me inside. I might have to go look at these new ones and see if they have a little bit more space for a tall guy.

Congrats! We're up to 185k on our 2011. The only real issues we've had so far outside of the normal wear and tear is the power steering pump developed a leak and dripped fluid on to the alternator. Luckily the power steering pump was the only part I had to replace and the alternator was fine.
