Don't start until mid-September and am going to wait until after I get my bonus at my current job until I give the notice. Going to be weird starting something new after 9.5 years, but here's to new beginnings!

Don't start until mid-September and am going to wait until after I get my bonus at my current job until I give the notice. Going to be weird starting something new after 9.5 years, but here's to new beginnings! -

An Update On The Box
So I found this box on my porch this morning.
https://opposite-lock.com/topic/62873/a-small-box-was-left-on-my-porch-this-morning Let’s see what’s inside:
This is an awesome assortment of gifts! Thank you very much whoever you are. I now feel cheap for what I bought for my victim. -
RE: How to properly handle mis-identified listings on AutoTrader

They've Managed To Make It Uglier
Meet the new Grand Wagoneer L:
Can you name the truck with four wheel drive,
smells like a steak and seats thirty-five..
Canyonero! Canyonero!
Well, it goes real slow with the hammer down,
It's the country-fried truck endorsed by a clown!
Canyonero! (Yah!) Canyonero!
[Krusty:] Hey Hey
The Federal Highway commission has ruled the
Canyonero unsafe for highway or city driving.
Canyonero!
12 yards long, 2 lanes wide,
65 tons of American Pride!
Canyonero! Canyonero!
Top of the line in utility sports,
Unexplained fires are a matter for the courts!
Canyonero! Canyonero! (Yah!)
She blinds everybody with her super high beams,
She's a squirrel crushing, deer smacking, driving machine!
Canyonero!-oh woah, Canyonero! (Yah!)
Drive Canyonero!
Woah Canyonero!
Woah! -
I Am Not A Smart Man
Finally changing out the diff fluids in the Beige Unicorn today. All was going well until my dumbass set the torque wrench too high and snapped a bolt.
Somehow the backyard wrenching gods showed sympathy towards me and I was able to get the bolt out with an easyout, which never happens.
I’m going to call it a day now and wait for the new bolts to show up. Time to drink beer, listen to music and build legos. -
Had The 3rd Interview
This time in person in plant, sounds like I have a job just don’t know which yet. Time for more waiting but a good thing.

RE: Ford To Comeback To F1 With Red Bull
@davesaddiction No. No one else will do a road car from an F1 engine, the world learned from Mercedes mistake.

RE: Ford To Comeback To F1 With Red Bull
@tophercrowder I see your point, but you're quite wrong. This is purely marketing for Ford, and not an investment in small turbocharged technologies.
Ford and GM will both be making and continue to make V8's well into the future.

Ford To Comeback To F1 With Red Bull
https://www.bbc.com/sport/formula1/64506082
In a hilarious twist of fate, Ford will return to F1 by branding Red Bull Powertrains. If you don't understand the irony at play here. -
RE: Design Details: Marque on the Wheel
@amoore100 It's because we're stuck in the middle of a simplify and minimalism to modernize logos era. It's completely cyclical, what started off as simple branding of a name which would then get an artistic logo, which would then be tamed down a bit and simplified over the years until say the 1990's when everything got totally radical and then transitioned back to a more 3D look in the early 00's with the popularizing of computer aided graphics and then along came the minimalism trend from the Nordic countries and Banksy with the simply "stenciled street art." Then the corporations chased after that and began to flatten their logos, then the details got delated in the process until all BRANDS became known for their names because what's more simple than a name like, say HOONIGAN or Supreme. So, now everyone is reverting back to just a written name as a logo. I suspect that in a decade or so you'll start to see a renaissance of overly artistic logos again as companies start trying to re-differentiate themselves from the rest.
