I think we all defaulted to saying it as an “s”, because we’re lazy and unimaginative.

A few years ago I was writing a bit of php to parse and test results of GRIB file processing in OpenCPN. Php does not have strong datatyping - you can add 2 $strings and maybe get a usable result... Looking for a global jungue variable name and couldn't use $x or $y so I used $kaycog on a whim. She may still be immortalized in the Git repository.

@barnie PHP's loose typing has bitten me a few times, but I'm no longer actively using that language. I just swung by to say it's a nice thought to think that $kaycog is floating out there in Git, and that naming is hard.
