I saw this Focus today that has one pre 04 taillight, and one post face lift taillight. I guess that’s what happens When the junk yard doesn’t quite have the right part.
The one on the left is pre fecelift, and it’s the one that was replaced.

An attempt was made. If you don't care at all about the appearance of your car I don't see why it would be a big deal. It is an old Focus so it's not like people are going to hold it to a high standard of aesthetic perfection.
