I stopped by the house for lunch and doggo lunch to find my crankset has arrived. Bike parts have started showing up for my fixie build. The frame shipped yesterday.

I've got most parts ordered. Still outstanding to decide upon and order are pedals, bar and grip tape, along with the usual accessorizing of stuff like lights, bottle cage and flat kit.

I just built a fixie this fall......I really missed building a bike, so I built up an old Specialized Allez carbon fiber road bike, used Spinergy RevX carbon wheels - REALLY sharp looking bike.

Current stable: 2015 WRX Limited, 1987 Fiero GT,
Past cars: 1990 Eagle Talon TSi, 1990 Plymouth Laser RS Turbo, 1982 Pontiac J2000 (my first) and many others I don't want to talk about.......

The only one I have on my phone at the moment is this one - about 90% complete - still needed bar tape and brake cables. And its an Epic, not an Allez (brain fart)

My knees ache just looking at that! I never had a fixie, but I built one of my frames up as a single speed. I loved it when the road was flat, but my knees screamed at the first sight of a hill.

Never discount the possibility that you might live through it.

No cassette on this build, but I could send you the 14t track cog that came on my borrowed wheelset that will get me started on this bike. I'm not manly enough to ride 14/48, so I swapped it out for a 17t cog.

@ita97 Welp everything is flat here so 14t could work out if the wind is in the right direction lol
But nah I'm good mate...just gotta hope the parts hold out till I can afford to replace pretty much the whole drive train....not going to be a cheap one
Welp at least all that flatness means I'm also not putting a huge amount of strain on those parts so they may last a little while yet despite being worn out
