Personal But Car Related Coronavirus Rant
-
As a forward, this is pretty petty in the grand scheme of things.
As many of you know, I'm undertaking an LS swap on the Trans Am. I had a plan to trailer the car down to my family's home in a different state as their garage is much larger than my apartment has not to mention it's much nicer to work in than an uninsulated Michigan garage in winter. Everything was great, and then my whole family contracted the coronavirus after my brother was sent to quarantine at their house after contracting the virus during some Army training he was doing with his ROTC unit (his superiors didn't want him quarantining in his own dwelling lest he get his squadmate roommates sick - they all got sick anyways).
I have taken several days off in the coming week for the Thanksgiving holiday to get the swap started and had a Uhaul rental booked for this weekend. Uhaul wont change my rental pickup dates as apparently there are no other one-way car trailers planned to be in Detroit for the next few weeks? So now I'm dropping the car off, turning around, and going back to my home for my own safety. Thank you Uncle Sam for screwing up my Thanksgiving LS swap plans. Hopefully I can get the work done over Christmas. My family is recovering well in case you were curious, no serious complications which is why I am being dramatic about this.
Tl:dr Wear your damn masks people lest you mess up someone's hot rod plans.

Oof. Glad your whole family is doing alright though!

Glad your family is alright....it affects some people worse than others, but that can be seemingly random...some people are fine, and others who are in great shape and perfectly healthy can die from it.....it's scary...

Glad you are looking out for those around you. This whole country could use some of that mindset.

Glad your family is doing better.
At least you're allowed to travel, apparently I'm not even allowed in certain states because South Dakota is a hot spot currently. Don't want to wander too far into politics but while I understand the concern, I think it's absolute BS and a step too far that a state government can tell me where I can and can't go. Not that I plan on going anywhere anyway, but still.
