Oh hey, headings!

Headings work
I am excite.
So excite.
I wonder how far it goes?
I think this is the bottom
Or.... nope it keeps going. I'll use this for notes
####### Ok. Apparently 6 is the limit.
Found this in the users guide. Very handy. Do like.

You know we now have a testing category...
-
@Urambo-Tauro this might help with JRITS?

https://commonmark.org/help/Glad you found it! I've had that in the Hyphen User Guide for awhile now! Not many people have been using the headings as much though! Guess they just take some getting used to!

Maybe. I could use a little something to help define more clearly where one entry ends and the next one begins. Kinja offered the option to insert a horizontal rule, and that worked out really nicely. Unfortunately, I don't see that feature here. Not sure how I'd implement a headline for each entry though. Might have to change the old format from "picture-credit-comment-link, picture-credit-comment-link" to something else.
-
@akioohtori How did you get the smaller text? Are you a wizard?
-
@urambo-tauro The horizontal separator in Kinja was one my favorite formatting features for use in my TDIAH posts. I fiddled with the horizontal rule here, but it runs it across the top of a photo underneath it, and there seems to be no way to add a space between the rule and the photo.
-
Yeah I think I actually might have accidentally inserted horizontal rules on my JRitS post the other day when I typed out long rows of hyphens between each entry. The resulting line is -like you said- awfully close to the pic underneath it.
-
@rallydarkstrike I would love to know how to make smaller text. It would work great for captions.
-
Agreed. I credit a lot of images in my JRitS roundups, and it would be great if those captions were smaller than the rest of the post's text. Makes for a better reading experience IMO.
-
@ttyymmnn I think that was six hashes
###### small text here
-
@urambo-tauro yeah a triple hyphen will give you a horizontal rule. White space here is weird so it might take some getting used to?
-
@urambo-tauro six hashes before the text makes it "heading six" which is what the small text is
-
Thanks! This will definitely come in handy.

So, is that using the code insert thingie? Or is that one of those things that only shows up when you publish?
-
I read the title as "headlights", and was awfully confused.

@just-jeepin It'll tell you who upvoted a post/comment if you hover over it but not downvotes lmao

Yup, though curators and admins can see who did downvotes!
-
@ttyymmnn I put it in the code insert thingy so it wouldn't format it. But no when you're using the text editor, on a new line type six "#", then a space, and then the thing you want in small text. Should appear correctly in the preview pane.
Example

@akioohtori Ah. I was missing the space, I think. Thanks!

@akioohtori With great power comes great responsibility.
