So many questions

First and foremost: just how tall will these get before they can’t get any larger?
-
@Just-Jeepin They'll need to put in height laws. They're already at teh legal limit for width.
-
@Just-Jeepin I mean, valid argument but not a great example. That one is very obviously lifted from factory, and what's more appears to have that dumbfuck Carolina squat going on.
-
@WasGTIthenGTOthenNOVAthenGTInowA4 Lots of states already do have limits for height, in various forms, but almost never enforced.

anything in bc over 10cm is illegal. technically any lift should be inspected and approved by a government inspector
-
@Just-Jeepin they already can’t see me.

I meant from the factory. I think a lot of places have laws on lift kits and never enforce them.

I meant from factory, but yes, few if any locations I've ever lived enforce lift kit (or headlight height most likely) laws.

10cm
that's probably why the 4" lift is so popular, but why settle for 4" when you can have 6"?
-
@Just-Jeepin
There should definitely be a lowered Jeep.In other news, all suspension lifts greater than 50 cm (2") over the factory settings require independent engineering approval and certification in most Australian states. It's not difficult or prohibitively expensive to get done but it's far from convenient given that such engineers are few and far between. As a result, such lifts are becoming quite rare.
-
@Just-Jeepin Those are 37x13.50 tires and they look tiny. Stock size is probably ~33x11 (275/70/18) for comparison.
Can't see the back, but based on the look it's probably a 7" lift. Here's full truck that I found:
In theory, a stock height pickup meets crash standards for other stock height vehicles. The problem is when you move the impact point 9" higher. For an extreme example, somebody in a lowered Miata would be decapitated after getting rear-ended by that truck.
The driver of the truck would be fine though.
-
@Highlander if you hit that thing on the road, you ded. me also, but my market (most markets) don't have such vehicles
-
@derp GM offers a 6-12” lift kit straight from the factory?
-
@Nauraushaun They are everywhere where I live in MT. I got a "truck" so I would be more at their level but it's still not high enough. I think I need to start driving around a 4wd boom lift.
-
@Highlander should get a wedgy 90s sports car and learn what real fear is like

Can relate.
-
@TheModernLeper just asking for it.
is your name taken from the frightened rabbit song? surely! -
@Nauraushaun Yes, I am a huge Frightened Rabbit fan.
-
@TheModernLeper i've only heard the album midnight organ fight, but it's good

And that's all they care about. They see it as a safety win. They do not care about others, and it often shows. The height of their truck is usually only one of many tells to this.

@Just-Jeepin Never skip leg day, bruh.

@Old-Busted-Hotness Roof or hood?

50 cm (2")
50mm.
also, we've been selling plenty of lift kits for various vehicles at work.
-
@pip-bip
So it is!As for the lift...if it's 50 mm or less then it doesn't need compliance. If it's over it does. If a dealership can't organise compliance on a brand new vehicle then that's a problem!!
