@Sam-Blockhan They're a cool company, based out of Vancouver
-
@Sam-Blockhan fun fact: the quickest way to tell if a Porsche 356 is a replica is to check the handbrake location. Kits were obviously Beetle based and thus had it on the center tunnel, whereas the genuine cars had it on the floor between the drivers seat and door. I think some early ones had a yank-handle-style one under the dash too.
-
I have a mighty need for a Beck Spyder.
Here's a company doing coupes.
For that price, I think I'd want a real one, though.

Listings for Spyders seem to start around a quarter million, for ones that bother to list a price at all.
-
@EssExTee yank, twist, yank, twist some more, jiggle, yank, say "What the...is it on?", get off the brake, feel car roll, get back on the brake, yank, jiggle, yank, jiggle until the secret sauce is found

Real ones (in good shape) go for, like, twice that.
-
I don't need an "A" and it doesn't need to be perfect.
My dad's, sold long before I was born, was a B - Super 90.
Here's a driver for $55k.
-
@davesaddiction Wow, that's downright affordable (comparative to what I feel I'm used to seeing for these).
-
The seller states that the floor pan has been repaired. The lower door panels and underside of the front bumper are damaged, and there is rust on the bottom of the doors.
The fully refurbed ones go for more, obviously.
Here's a nice, redone Super 90 for $75k (still a lot of money).
I'll probably never own one, but a boy can dream.
Maybe a project for later in life.

@davesaddiction I keep telling myself that this 356 (which is more likely not original, and definitely doesn't have the original motor) would be about the cheapest way to get into a coupe.
They don't list a price -- but they do for another coupe they have listd for ~$147K, so I don't think they're afraid of scaring people away due to a high tag. So I just assume it's non-original and thus cheap, but refuse to call to find out otherwise.

Do not like.
Really? I quite enjoy them actually.
