@BRZ4Science makes sense.....but doesnt really make for a looker
-
@farscythe oh, it isn't terrible - some two tone paint, a bit of chrome, white walls, fender skirts, you could dress it up a bit

but i cant help but feel the team would benefit from having someone with a little more eye for aesthetics
Nonsense! It's adorable and swoopy!
Part of me wishes I was an engineer so I could go to school to build cool things like this, and all the fun automotive projects @WhoIsTheLeader could totally do at Georgia Tech.

@BRZ4Science I imagine they could have done a bit better with a longer windshield (though vertical surfaces up front are less bad than people intuitively think), but then they'd have less (or no) hood to put panels on, and would be carrying around more glass, which is heavy.
-
@BRZ4Science -- Good job of reconciling that concern with headroom* for the usual one or two occupants, as well. If this came out of TU-Eindhoven, I'm guessing that technical tradeoff studies and some computational fluid dynamics and maybe a bit of old-school wind-tunnel validation were involved.
*Reminds me also of an article a few years ago positing that the Dutch have slightly taken the lead as the world's tallest nationality on average.

sometimes i do wonder just how well funded our universities are
With enough sponsors, anything is possible.

@farscythe how are the Dutch making a solar car when you (zandvoort
) have inconsistent weather like us
They'll just take over a nation that has good weather. Again.
-
@WasGTIthenGTOthenNOVAthenGTInowA4 ha.....we arent taking over anything with our current military capacity
......
might just straight up buy a country tho -
@farscythe it looks like it's been squashed, and the cabin crumpled upwards.
-
@Cat_Of_Doom it does...i agree
-
@farscythe and i think they used Tesla door-handles.
-
@Cat_Of_Doom that i wouldnt know.....i mean...could be
wouldnt surprise me if they just used what they could get for doorhandles.....also wouldnt surprise me if they made everything themselves and it just looks the same -

If I actually had time to do them, that is.

@WhoIsTheLeader You can add an extra hour and a half to your day if you simply skip breakfast, lunch, and dinner!
