Last day of Dreamforce

I think I've done this show 8 times now because covid was off twice. I hate it but it makes the most money. I have one day off.... then Workday or something is in, I'm told it's about the size of Google so that's fun.. Then we go back to more normal shows but there are quite a few of them.
Snoop Dog impersonator they had that was fooling people
The carpet lead in my union just bought this thing, I'm not sure it was wise, I think it's $130k.
Another Geeeerman thing
A tour bus driver that stopped near us when we were taking down some graphics on 3rd st. I didn't get a picture but there was an employee on the second level of the bus with bands of singles and fives, I assume, he was flashing it like a rap video. Then the dog was talking to us.

Gotta change the paradizzle, my nizzles, return on invizzle must be fo-rizzle adjusted for risk-adjizzle opportunity cost of capitizzle.
I would probably pay Snoop and Jay-Z whatever their going rate on speaking fees are just to do satirical impressions of their '90s selves at all of our work meetings.
Also, Workday can eat a bowl of whatever appendages.

When David Berkowitz, AKA the Son of Sam killer, was arrested, he originally claimed he did the murders because he was ordered to by a demon manifesting itself in the form of a dog.
In other words, if a dog is talking to you, don't listen.
-
@Roadkilled I didn't say I could understand it
-
-
@ForSweden Oh, then it won't be an exciting one, I bet it's like the IBM show, lots of boring people with some trying to let loose on their fancy SF convention trip. A lady at the Marriott told me they are like kids who don't know how to party and fuck like rabbits.

Then they should have sent me an invite!

@Taylor-Martin one of my company's recent sales conference event thingies had THREE impersonators, and they were all awful. Elvis, Lady Gaga, and Zach Galifianakis in character as Alan from The Hangover.
Major, major cringe.
I'm glad I wasn't there in person... I watched a few minutes of the internal broadcast and then noped out.
-
@ForSweden Having spent some time working at a different HR software company I have to say that those HR people go wild at shows. They get to let loose when there are no coworkers around.
-
@BJ But why... why do people like doing that... is it like kings and jesters? Makes them feel powerful? It seems so... unnecessary and cringe (as you described it).
-
@Taylor-Martin I think it's supposed to add flavour or humour to an otherwise relatively boring sales event, but it's so easy to get wrong.
At the same time, people love their celebrities and will be happy to have their picture taken with a good impersonator. But having them tell jokes and do other schtick is really more like watching a drag show, which is the wrong feel for most corporate events...
-
@BJ Idk, I'd go to a corporate drag show... would be an interesting experience for everyone.
-
@Taylor-Martin We could have a top notch drag show in SF guaranteed.
