I love that gen civic!
-
The civic is a stick?! Jeeze man 3 months ago shopping for my daughter I was dreaming of this car in this price range!
Good luck with the sale!
-
@WildlyMild Its funny how when you are looking for one, you can't find anything. And when you are selling one, the only thing you hear is "where were you 4 weeks ago".....
-
@RacinBob I'm legit tempted by the 300CD, it's a little above my budget for a fun car but I'm gonna think about it.
Are the seats in good condition under those covers?
-
@jminer I've never looked under the covers to find out. I'm asking my brother to see if he knows.
If he doesn't It's 200 miles for me to get there but I can check in a couple of weeks.
-
@RacinBob it's definitely not worth you making a trip over it. Still thinking about it and the condition of the front seats won't make or break it for me anyway.
Although the car looks a different color in different pics. Which one is closest to how it looks in real life?
-
@RacinBob The Civic looks like a winner. On account of how my sisters and other college girls drive however (and I'm not trying to be prejudice) I always step up with a little bit of extra precaution.
Regardless, if you were closer I think I'd give you a serious offer. Good luck to your father and niece!
-
@jminer My brother has more pictures. Looks like there was a patch on the front.
-
@RacinBob Others
The sheepskin seats are really nice. Its kind of an 80's thing but even if the originals were perfect I would keep them on.
-
@jminer My brother wrote a better description and has tons of pictures.
984 Mercedes 300CD, owned and well maintained by family member for over 20 years. 215k miles. Rare Petrol Green Blue Metallic. Very good driver, starts, runs and drives fine.
New battery 6/23. Very good brakes and suspension. Vacuum system has been rebuilt. Power door locks and HVAC vacuum controls all work. Power windows
and sunroof open and close as they should. Cruise control, windshield wipers, turn signals, headlights, fog lights, turn signals all work as they should.
OEM Becker radio does not turn on, may be just a fuse. Car comes with spare OEM radio of unknown condition. A/C recently charged and worked fine 6 weeks later, however it may need charging in the spring. Tachometer and fuel gauge are inoperable. Temperature and oil pressure gauges work as they should. Aftermarket air horns that are Loud!
Original paint. Some light checking on hood. Some minor rust on driver's quarter panel and on both sides of valance beneath front bumper. Also a minor spot beneath the rear
window, and some lifting of paint on rear fender lip. Jack points all solid. Very good wheels. Tires are old, otherwise in very good condition. Overall, a very attractive driver that gets
compliments and thumbs up wherever it goes! Pictures at below link.https://www.dropbox.com/sh/m8u4xrce4mpip0n/AABursMpaYj5bmhWhc6CvlBwa?dl=0
The indoor pictures I took are bluer than it is. This pretty much reflects the color. Its the same color as the other W123 4 door has. It is a really attractive color.

@hayzer911 They are motivated sellers. Fly into Chicago with cash and drive it home!
-
@jminer It is same as this
-
@RacinBob Don't temp me with a good time! I'll consider considering it
-
My parents picking it up in May 2001.
