New testing category
-
At the request of some I've created a 'Post Testing' category for those that want to play around in the editor. Just pick it in the drop down while creating a topic and it'll go there.
These posts will stay out of the main feed, although anyone sorting by all topics - recent view will be able to see them.
-
Note - I'll probably go in weekly and purge everything from this category too.

HA! If it's just test posts it seems strange to leave it, but make a case and I can leave it.

@jminer Nah, just bored.
-
@jminer Wait, what the difference between "front page" and "Oppositelock"
-
@Dr-Zoidberg That's a testing category for the future 'featured' idea. I thought permissions were setup so you couldn't see that. Can you post to it?
-
@jminer so if I hit oppo it won't appear in the regular main feed?
-
@Dr-Zoidberg Only posts in the main Oppositelock category show up in the main feed. You can browse the other categories or click the 'recent' button that looks like a clock and it'll give you everything sorted by most recent post.
-
@dr-zoidberg The Oppositelock category is the one you SHOULD post to so that it is visible in the main feed. The Frontpage one is a testing category for an upcoming feature set and isn't supposed to be visible. The Post Testing category is for testing features and does not show up on the main feed on the main page (but will under the Recent page)
