Hello Friends

Please enjoy my offering of midship. I used to participate on kinja far more frequently, but lately mostly spend time trying to keep MEJ from imploding again.
Where are my fellow japanese car enthusiasts at?
-
@reigntastic Yooo!
I was a Japanese homer before turning to German and now Aussie. Loved my '88 Legend and '05 Mazda 3s hatch. Mrs. addiction's loving her Telluride.
Love your MR2.
-
@davesaddiction I have to say that I'm pretty partial to German cars myself! I learned to drive stick on an e90 M3, and Dad's 987S is basically a far superior version of my MR2. Still own a 2012 VW Golf, as well. Would love to get my hands on one of the USDM's rebadged Holdens, a Chevy SS checks lots of boxes for me.
-
@reigntastic I know that manual elitist jerk.
-
That is one fantastic color my good sir! MR2s deserve that teal/turquois paint color.
-
-
@reigntastic Not sure if you checked my profile, but I just sold my E90 M3 to my brother and bought an SS sedan w 3 pedals.
-
@reigntastic nice Mk2
-
-
@ImmoralMinority Please give Toby more Bacon on my behalf!
@whoistheleader Thanks, I sought out this example specifically for the color! Turquoise Pearl Metallic.
@ITA97 I know a certain Mainer who would be extremely interested in your Pajero!
@davesaddiction Happy little coincidence, lucky guess I suppose. SS sedan with 3 pedals is perfection!
-
@interstate366 Wasn't the TL made for the North American market? Do they even sell it anywhere else?
-
@reigntastic There was a very similar MR2 for sale near me for a reasonable price in that color that had custom color matched seat covers. I really wanted it.
-
@reigntastic Ha! Mine is a more uncommon combination, too, with the 5 speed manual. Generally, many of them with the manual seem to be the smaller 2 door Pajero, with most of the bigger 4 doors getting the diesel/auto drivetrain. I jumped on this one in part because of the 4 door/turbo diesel/manual combination. The green helped too.
-
@rallydarkstrike If I'm not mistaken, the TL is marketed everywhere else as the Accord. Or maybe thats the TSX. Or maybe I have no idea lol!
-
@ita97 I'm not a Pajero expert. Is yours and my daughters on the same platform just different wheelbase? Her's is a 5-speed gasser. They seem like different chassis.
-
Nice! That's a 3rd generation Pajero. Mine is a 2nd generation from 1994.
-
@ita97 Ah...ok got it. I thought maybe there was different sub-variants
-
@classicdatsundebate There are. There's the full-size Pajero, and then the various flavors of smaller Pajero sport and mini. Here's looks like it might be one of the smaller ones, but I've not followed the 3rd gen nearly as much. It is a long time until those will be legal to import to the US under the 25 year rule.
-
@ita97 Yeah, we have the 15 year rule up here.
-
@st80mnd that’s the TSX that was the ROW Accord. The TL was indeed North America only, though some made it to Japan as LHD imports.
-
@interstate366 Good to know. I was under the impression the TL was a dressed up , face lifted TSX, which was a prettier (arguably) Accord.
-
@st80mnd the TSX is slightly smaller, but they were close enough in size that Acura combined them into one car with the TLX in 2015.
