Been back at work one day and I already hate it.

I really gotta get out of this place. You can't heal in the environment that made you sick. I'm just blown away how much energy is given to talking about how much the company cares versus showing people that the company cares. At least be like other companies and don't pretend that you care.
Very beautiful day for a walk though.

@HammerheadFistpunch Oh man that sucks! I thought you were on a longer leave of absence.
Fingers crossed for you finding something with less stress.
-
@jminer I'll settle for less shitty management.

@HammerheadFistpunch Usually how I feel when I get back after a good chunk of time off. You always hope you'll be refreshed and ready to take on what comes, but it's just the same shit it always is and will always be as long as you continue to choose to work here

I hope things improve for you. Keep an eye out for better opportunities and enjoy the walks.
My employer used to have a fairly toxic work environment, and there wasn't a lot most managers could do. It starts from the top. The CEO retired and the new CEO decided to fix the corporate culture. Strangely, the new CEO meant what he said, and there has been a dramatic improvement. It isn't perfect, but it's a lot better than it used to be.

@HammerheadFistpunch I've worked at places as well that on the surface seemed like they really had their shit together and supported their employees but it wasn't the case. I've also worked at (fewer) places that genuinely did care about the employees. They're out there! Hope you find one.

I reach. If you decide to pull that trigger and leave, you'll get plenty of support from me. -
Since you don’t want the job, and wouldn’t be crushed if you didn’t have it, how much can you just ignore management and do the things you need to get done?
