About a month ago I noticed that the blower motor in my car stopped working. I was dreading working on it so much that I just ignored it. Plus I haven’t been using the car much, and Still daily riding the XT200. Today I got the motivation to get under the dash and try to figure what was wrong. The motor, and resistor are both about 80 bucks each, the actual HCVA computer I didn’t even price I was too scared.
Anyway I got under dash panel off, and went to disconnect the wires that go into the resistor. 6FFF84F4-C24E-4E7C-B6EC-53CC33BD3765.jpeg As I did sand like corrosion came out of the connector. I looked at it and it was green. That made me real happy. Could it really be that simple? I grabbed a can of electronics cleaner, sprayed it out on both sides, put it back together and tested it. AND IT WORKED! so you it was a 5 minute repair that cost me nothing. Amazing.
Also I finally got one of these propane bazooka heaters. So it was real nice working in the garage and not being able to see my breath lol. A890B62D-B433-4350-92B5-4E29E735AC23.jpeg

my lawn tractor died in the middle of my yard. It sounded like I ran out of gas but I wasn't empty. I checked fuel flow and I got it all over me so that was working. I was getting a spark. The air filter wasn't too dirty. I settled on it being a bum fuel pump. I went to Tractor Supply of course didn't have any. I went back home and decided to pull the pump and see if i could knock it around and get it going when I noticed a tube hanging off the bottom. I reconnected the tube (vacuum tube I'm guessing) and it fired right up.

I use that effective tactic all the time!

How did that connector get so corroded? It's not like it's attached to the outside of the car.

@vincentmalamute I don’t know how it got so corroded. It is right in the footwell so maybe snowy boots melting off there left behind enough moisture to effect it

@hfv ah, I thought that blower motor was up high in the dash.

Well, if you can do this, I might have to dive into my Audi S4 starter that I've been ignoring for years.
