An Update on the NE Ohio Janky Sportbike Museum

AKA the dank garage underneath my apartment building.
1991 FZR 600-
The FZR, as usual, has had the most attention lately. Over the course of the lockdown it's gotten a new engine, had the carbs rebuilt, the valves adjusted, front forks rebuilt, wiring harness taken out and repaired, new brakes all around, and myriad other stuff. Most recently I replaced the front and rear sprockets and the chain, and a breather hose connected to the coolant overflow bottle that would constantly drip coolant onto my right foot. I went for a quick blast around the neighborhood afterwards and it felt better than it ever has. Itmaydoes look like shit, but by god it's fun to ride. It absolutely screams 90's with the V&H exhaust.Because I'm a child I put Shoei and Canon stickers on it like Kaneda's bike from Akira, and I've got the completely inappropriate riding jacket to match. Other than that, there's not much else to say about the FZR. The rest of the work it needs it 99% cosmetic and quality-of-life stuff.
1996 Suzuki GSXR 750 SRAD-
Despite being my favorite bike, it hasn't moved under its own power since I rode it home after buying it. I got the rust cleaned out of the fuel tank and the carbs are currently getting the rust shaken out of them. I did find a guy selling a new-old-stock Zero Gravity windshield to replace the old blue one, and I found the correct stickers for the tail piece (the old ones were from a 1997 and the orange and blue were reversed)The SRAD also got a new chain and sprockets this season, and I flushed the coolant and changed the oil. Once I get the carbs back I'll get a new set of spark plugs and a new battery, and it should be good to go.
1989 Honda Hawk 650
In typical Honda fashion, my Hawk has been 100% reliable all year. Its had an oil change and a coolant flush, but that's all the maintenance I've done this season. I really do love this bike, but after I repaint the header it's probably time for it to move on to its next owner. (Oppo discount??) I bought it as my first bike because at the time I wanted a naked bike that was a little more unique than a GS500, but it led me down the rabbit hole of 90s sportbikes and now garish plastic race replicas are my cup of tea.I haven't stored any of my bikes for the winter yet in the quickly vanishing hope that we'll get one more decent day to ride this year. For now, this is what the museum looks like-

That "not for riding" jacket is made of wool? Correct?
-
That collection really needs a CBR600F3 and a Shadow RS.

Love that pic in the Steelyards. Used to drive through all the time when I worked downtown.

@frinesi2 I do want that CBR... If I didn't already have a 600 I'd be making an offer on it
