You know how some museums auction off experiences where you can drive cars like Duesenbergs for a day? They always sell for like $10,000 so you'll never be able to do it, but what if they did a raffle for this type of experience? It today's poll you won a raffle at the Mercedes-Benz Museum and you get to pick between 3 cars to drive. You get a few hours to drive the car on a nearby track. You're being watched by some museum employees just to make sure you don't do anything stupid and damage the cars, but you're still allowed to drive them how they are meant to be driven. Here are the 3 options:

Option 1: Mercedes C111-II Screenshot 2023-03-18 130146.png This one has beautiful classic sports car styling. It has a 2.4L quad rotor engine making 345 horsepower and 289 lb-ft of torque. It could allegedly reach speeds over 180 miles per hour and has a 5 speed manual. Sounds like a super fun RWD supercar to me but if a race car is what you think of when you hear Mercedes, the next two might be for you.

Option 2: Mercedes 1450 S Screenshot 2023-03-18 131620.png One of the wildest racing vehicles in the world, the Mercedes 1450 S. This was the first generation of the Mercedes racing semis and it has an 18.3L V10 making 1,578 horsepower and over 6,000 lb-ft of torque. Although I couldn't find any specifics on the transmission, Super Trucks use manuals so it would be an engaging drive. The trucks are required to be limited to 100 miles per hour because of the amounts of kinetic energy a near 7 ton racing truck produces. That being said it would still be very fun to experience the raw power of this truck and 100mph is quite fast.

Option 3: Mercedes 190E 2.5-16 Evo2 DTM Screenshot 2023-03-18 135236.png One of, if not the most, iconic car of the golden era of DTM racing. This race car is powered by the 2.5L 16V I4 as the name implies. It makes 326 horsepower with a top speed over 150 miles per hour. It also has a 5 speed manual, I can't imagine how much fun this would be to drive. This specific one won the 1990 GP South Africa. Although this was before Mercedes retuned the car in 1992, it it still a vey successful race car. It weighs just over 3000 lbs, not bad for being a 90's brick.

Well thanks for reading and make sure to vote on the poll at the top. Hope you're enjoying the series.

@Plymouth-Superbird-2nd I can always rent a car and drive it fast; how often would I get the opportunity to race a semi?

        On walkabout. Back soonish.

@Plymouth-Superbird-2nd I'd drive the 190E because where one of those races an E30 M3 will naturally turn up, so then I could get rid of the Benz and have some fun with the BMW

@Plymouth-Superbird-2nd I'd have to go for the Evo II. If this was to own one of these, the C111 would be a no brainer but I think the Evo II would probably be more fun for a short drive.
