@MM54 This page describes using it.

Yup, its the google photos edit tool
I'll start using my alternative photo editor on my pixel now -
@ItalianJobR53 You might also take screenshots of your final edit before sharing, and share that instead. That will enhance security no matter what you're using.
-
My Pixel phone is too old to be vulnerable to that problem (and it has the March update).
-
@Just-Jeepin Good post. Fortunately, it doesn't seem to apply to images edited via markup, only screenshots.
-
Well shit, that's not good to see, though I don't think used it for hiding any sensitive info but will bear it in mind for future
What app does oppo recommended for basic image editing such as cropping and basic doodling
-
@Just-Jeepin This is what happens with my pixel 5
So it looks like Im okay.
The top bottom bit is the part that I cropped in on, the other parts were attempts to recover the data, which failed.
-
@Just-Jeepin well, I guess I'm getting an iPhone 15

Microsoft Paint
-
@MM54 unfortunately that's not available on Android lol
-
@SamV8 Just one more way the failure of Windows Phone was tragic...

GIMP?
I haven't used it on Android, just on my Linux desktop, so I really don't know how usable it is.

@SamV8 Photoshop express is free and very good.

Its a little clunky for quick edits but its all in there. The raw editing is very good if your phone shoots raw.

Snapseed is also good.

@HammerheadFistpunch will check it out cheers
-
@Just-Jeepin apple FTW!
-
@bison78 GIMP for Android is a PC port, and a very bad one at that. There's basically no touch controls, so you have to pair a keyboard and mouse to your phone/tablet. The port also doesn't know how to handle certain phone/tablet screens, so there will be features that you just can't access.
Sad, because I use GIMP daily on my PC.

@Just-Jeepin Well shit...
https://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2023/03/windows-10-and-11-get-their-own-version-of-the-acropalypse-screenshot-bug/Hopefully this isn't a problem for screenshots that aren't saved (like basically every screenshot I post to Oppo)
