I've never see The Wire or Fringe, but I may have to now. Sounds like he was truly an amazing guy as well as an amazing actor.

Regarding Keanu Reeves’ birthday during the shooting of John Wick 4, on a day when Lance was shooting but Keanu was not:

...And she told me that she asked Keanu what he wanted to do for his birthday and he said, “I want to go see Lance.” He’d never done this before but he wrote me a note thanking me for what I brought to the character in these movies. And he wanted to give the note to me. I’ll never forget it. I’m going to cry now.

What about when you’re filming John Wick in New York? Aren’t you in a fancy hotel for a long time?
I’m not, but the other actors are. Because of my, um, personal quirks, I always stay in a Residence Inn. I like to prepare my own food. And the Residence Inn has a big room and a big kitchen. That’s all I need.

@Just-Jeepin The Wire might be the best TV show ever made, and for better or worse it is just as relevant today as when it was made. As someone who once worked in law enforcement, it is the most honest portrayal I've seen of how large police departments work (or not), and who they work for. The show is a brilliant look at how systems and institutions and classes intersect in urban America.

@Just-Jeepin Thankyou for posting the link. I really liked Lance in the Wick series and I would not have seen this had you not posted it.
