That's it, you're getting donated ...

I just wanted to take the ZJ to Rausch Creek one more time. That's all I wanted to do. My friend was going to come in his '98 5.9, and my other buddy in his '93 Limited.
After aligning the headlights and pulling it in to the garage, I noticed a new leak on the driver's front side ...
Yeah, brake fluid. The reservoir is low too. Also the ABS computer has been dead since I got this Jeep, so I'm not even sure if I can bleed it even if I were to replace that line?
Shame because I got the headlights nice and aligned ...
Time to find the nearest good cause that accepts vehicles regardless of condition ...

Drop that sucker off at a pick n pull
-
@s65 I figure donating it would be at least slightly better than taking it to a junkyard. A junkyard is only gonna give me at best a hundred bucks and a box of Oreos. A charity will come pick it up with a flatbed ...
-
@frinesi2 You don't like oreos? I get that though, my grandma donated her old Town Car. Thing kept breaking down and she didn't wanna be caught out in nowhere if it did again. With it leaking brake fluid is it even safe to drive?
-
Wait...your friend has a 5.9L? Can your friend be my friend too?
Sorry to hear of the untimely demise.
-
-
@just-jeepin haha yes. It's dope. I recently gave him the glass e-codes and harness bypass mods from mine.
-
Do you need a special tool to bleed the ABS on these?
-
@frinesi2 I think you might be able to bleed it without the abs unit responding. Shouldn’t affect the bleeding on an older car. Pressure bleeder will help.
-
@victorinoo service manual claims that the ABS unite needs to be bled. It might be fine, but, I'm not going to bother any more. I just finished submitting all the information to DAV (Disabled American Veterans) and I'm waiting on them to come pick it up.
-
@victorinoo is right, you know @frinesi2 ...
No need to cycle ABS unit. And I have a pressure bleeder with Chrysler reservoir cap depending on how close to southern chester county you live.
A leaky brake line is no f'n reason to dump an XJ. Shame on you! SHAME! I had a shitty excuse for selling my 99 XJ 4.0L MTX in 2004, and I regret it often. OFTEN!

I am a good cause. You can donate it to me.

Tax fraud works for the president so a little tax fraud apparently doesn't hurt anyone. Please send me details on where to send my money by Western Union.
