Oppo Touch Typist Challenge

@DDaD somewhat facetiously posed a ridiculous ten minute typing challege on the Oppo discord, so now I present the same challenge to the Hyphen.

@atfsgeoff This board isn't too bad. It's basically a 60% but with no row stagger. Most people build normal boards but I sit in the corner building weird shit. "soldering projects" I like to say

@DDaD I honestly have no idea how I would fare with a grid style key layout sans stagger. my muscle memory is so ingrained to a staggered qwerty layout I'd probably just be typing gobbledygook

@atfsgeoff I don't find the transition to be that bad. Most of my problems are the z and x key if I switch back and forth

As a 28 year old who has used a computer every single day of his adult life, I cannot and will never be able to touch type. I type like a 95 year old who is trying their grandkid's computer for the first time

@TheJWT I am twice your age, but match the description otherwise. I sort of touch type, but I use middle and index finger only, and thumb for the space bar. Most of the time when I type I am writing out of my head rather than transcribing, and I am better at that than transcribing, but in the past I don't think I have been able to do much more than 30 words per minute or so with any accuracy (not near a keyboard right now).

I can start a nut blind on the tip of two fingers, but touch typing just isn't my thing.

I did a quick 30 second burst.

On KeyboardHero, I was able to achieve 130 WPM some years back.

So yeah, my old right wrist injury is definitely slowing me down.

So I learned to type with just my left hand, and typing in general has never been something I've needed to do at any real level of proficiency. I won't bother trying with two hands, my right hand would just throw things off. (edit) tried the zen mode where you can type anything. Hitting 100% accuracy and 100ish WPM one-handed since I can look at the keys.

One of the things I get a weird satisfaction from doing is googling weather averages for different cities / places. Because 'weather averages' is a completely left hand typing operation (technically 'h' should be for the right hand, but pfft that noise).
