Well it's official: I'm one of those people.

Every morning I pass by a blue Ford Escape with stickers attached to every square inch of the car. Much like the most devout of inmates, every part of this cars body is littered with some sort of message or design. I'd enjoy never having to see this car again, mainly because I could take "swallowing my own puke" out of my morning routine.

I've never been one for stickering up cars. The toolbox, fine. Shop fridge, sure. But please, leave the car alone. Dodge did not design the Hellcat Challenger with an "I identify as a Prius" sticker for a reason. Likely several reasons, such as lawsuits and risk of being offensive, etc.

Regardless, when I bought my truck, it already had stickers on it. A big Fox racing sticker on the right rear window, God Bless _merica (and a Ram and an American Flag) on the back, and _UC_IN' _EAR on the left rear. Since the vehicle wasn't winning any beauty pageants anyway, I figured I'd fill in the blanks and add some additional stickers I had laying around.

First step was cracking out the good ol' white electrical tape, as all the letters that were missing were originally white. For the God Bless _merica I cut out an "A" and for the left rear window, an F,K, and B.

After all of this, I got a bit excited and added a Watkins Glen International track sticker, an IMSA sticker, and a Buffalo Bills sticker. Most recently, I've ordered a sticker with the classic IMSA logo along with a sticker of the Daytona racetrack. And rather inevitably, I just placed an order for an Oppo sticker as well (Thanks @KITT222, but sadly no Vibe merch for me).

I hate when people sticker their cars like a scrapbook. Yet here I am, one sticker away from doing the same. It's really no wonder I don't have a girlfriend because anyone who looks at my back window will see an immature, patriotic racing enthusiast. And I'm not sure that's the best set of characteristics.

Whatever, if adding an Oppo sticker makes me become the very thing I sought to destroy, then I better start pronouncing the "g" at the end of every word ending in "ing" while I'm at it.

      Go Bills.

The road less travelled is that way for a reason.

My life became complete after seeing that one. But it's close between that and Nader was a weenie...

@hayzer911 I don't really sticker anything anymore, but I have a whole pile of them going back many years. I grabbed one for a work laptop on my last office job because all of us peons had identical laptops, so I always knew mine was the one with the reflective stripe.

@Nicky-Chagrin-Janitor-of-SHIELD An extra bonus being you could easily find it at night.

I too have added a sticker or two to my laptop. I was convinced it would make me as cool as my US History teacher in high school who had a Kiss sticker on his. Sadly that hasn't happened and I'm still just a racing enthusiast...

@hayzer911 If it makes you feel any better, I have met girls who were patriotic and into racing. Hang in there buddy, someday you'll find one.

@awesomeaustinv I do hear unicorns exist, but I've still yet to see one.

I've got a stack of stickers on the shelf in my garage that don't make the cut for my toolbox, but I can't bring myself to throw out stickers even if I don't have a use for them.

It's a destination and the sticker (like the pub) hasn't changed much in 40 years. Many rural trucks and off road vehicles sport the stick somewhere on the vehicle...
