Faster Than What Ferrari?
-
Inspired by comments in another thread:
What is the newest Ferrari that your car is faster then? Choose 1 Ferrari and 1 of your cars for 0-60 times.
Use this list, even if it's bullshit lol I'm not going to search further.

My Macan GTS:
0-60: 3.74 measured but likely faster
Newest Ferrari on the list with equal or higher 0-60 is: 612 Scaglietti

1992, Mondial Cabriolet

@2Poor_sh2Furious LOL. This is compared to my Ridgeline too, ridgeline is faster than my 240Z.
1983 Ferrari Mondial QV Cabriolet 7.50 sec
-
@2Poor_sh2Furious I supposedly can outrun this in my Clubman S
-
1982 Ferrari 308 GTSi: 0-60 in 7.6 seconds and the 1/4 mile in 15.6 seconds.
2016 Mazda6 i Touring: 0-60 in 7.0 seconds and the 1/4 mile in 15.5 seconds at 92 MPH.

@2Poor_sh2Furious Your SUV does 0-60 in under 4s? SMH
-
My F-150 is the 'quickest' vehicle i own, in zero to 60 times. At least, stock for stock. We'll see where my Supra comes out if it ever gets done.
at a 0-60times quoted 6.3s, i'm faster than a '92 mondial cabriolet, but by and large ferrari had caught up to my truck's 0-60 times by oh, 1970.
Now let's change the challenge:
Put the Ferrari on a trailer, I'll tow it and we'll measure 0-60 and 1/4 mile times, then we'll put my truck on a trailer and have the Ferrari tow it.
WHO WINS NOW, ENZO?
-
@ibRAD mine only does it in 6.5
-
@derp If a Mondial can even take any trailer tongue weight I'd consider it a rousing success if the car made it 3 feet before the clutch remains came through the bellhousing
-
-
@Nibby Mine does it in 8 apparently. I'm not in that much of a rush though.

Yes! It is tuned so more likely <3.5 on good tires/road. But stock is 3.9 according to every journal article
-
@Nibby Same for me. In theory, if I hated the clutch, a 911SC does 60 in 6.1.
-
The XRS: the Mondial Cab
The V4S: The 812 Superfast is faster to 60 but slower to 1/4mi. [I don't have the balls yet to launch the bike like that though]
-
@2Poor_sh2Furious Crazy times we live in!
-
2001 Volvo S80 naturally aspirated: 8.6 seconds
1992 Ferrari Mondial 8: 8.70 seconds -
@e90m3 no way is BMW sandbagging lol
C&D says 4.4 which is more like it
-
@2Poor_sh2Furious Doubling the power halves the 0-60 (elementary) so the Eclipse makes the sprint in 3.4 seconds (Quickmafs) and matches the 2013 California. Thanks for coming to my TED Talk.
This is really only applicable to stock cars, of which I own zero. The AZ-1 and Cappuccino would have beat an '82 Mondial 8, but neither of them are stock. MR-2's sad 135hp 1.8L would have beat an '84 Mondial QV back when it was on the stock ECU.

@2Poor_sh2Furious
XKR is around 4.5 sec so:
1997 Ferrari 550 Maranello: 4.60 secThe Defender is 6.6 sec so:
1987 Ferrari 3.2 Mondial Cabriolet: 7.00 secGranted if given the choice I'd be hard pressed not to drive the Ferrari because ffs, it's a Ferrari!

@2Poor_sh2Furious 2005 612 Scaglietti for me.
It goes 4.5 and my 13 Boss 302 does it in 4.3. Surprisingly it beats me in the 1/4 with a 12.6 versus a 12.8. Might be a good race if I got some sticky tires and a good launch. -
@e90m3 Looks like my 2019 GTI at 5.7s should just beat 1990 348TB at 5.8s. Couldn’t find anything newer but it’s also faster than a 1964 250 GTO so I’m gonna count that as win for better value.
