Design Details: All Red Tails
-
@amoore100 I’m all for this, provided the turn signal is amber underneath. BMW and Audi seem to achieve this today (with their Euro models, at least).
-
I dunno if that’s a Nummi thing or some garbage replacement? I’ve never seen a pink reverse light ‘rolla here in Canada.
This is mine as of 5min ago. Factory tail lights from TMMC.
-
@Exage03040 I've never seen them clear in the US before. I have no idea.
-
-
@RallyWrench So as the export Chevy S10
-
@Brickman I had no idea, that's cool!
-
@amoore100 multi coloured lenses plz
-
-
Ford disguised the reverse lights as chrome trim, sort of:
It's a little more effective when the reflectors still have some chrome on them.
-
@amoore100 On the topic of multicolor elements, the South American Ram 1500 gets separate turn signals in a clear housing for the incandescent tail light option:
I greatly prefer it to the mostly-red combination tails the North American trucks get:
TBH, if mine didn’t have the LED tails, I’d have found a way to retrofit the South American tails…

I think I missed this post in period. I never considered this trend of all red tails. I'm okay with it and think it looks fine, though dated.
relocating the taillights however is unforgivable. -
@amoore100 All red can look cool, but I like having the amber turn signals. I was able to buy Euro spec lenses for my GTV. So, much better looking (sorry, these are some crappy photos):

@TheModernLeper Lovely!
I agree, colored turn signals are much nicer, but I suppose 'all-red' tails are one of those trendy things kind of like clear 'Altezza lights' were for a while.
