Fess up, desktop users - how many times have you loaded Kinja today trying to come here?
-
I must be in double digits by now...
oppo-Enter in the search bar should bring me here before too much longer, right? LOL
-
8 at least. THAT DAMN "K" every time!
-
I just did it again!
-
Only once so far. But until Chrome learns that this is the new address? I'm sure that will be semi-regular.
-
@davesaddiction I deleted my Kinja bookmarks. What I have to relearn is that Opt+I doesn't make something italics, it just tries to send that page as an email. And Opt+k doesn't make a link. I'm a hardcore key commander, and old habits die hard.
-
@davesaddiction Just like Deadspin. My browser has finally learned that Defector is the true destination.
-
I've edited my shortcuts to reflect my new browsing habits.
-
Thought this would fix it. Nope...
-
@bloody-the-resident-shitposting-saffer
It's autofill, not a shortcut.
But might have to retrain myself with a shortcut!
-
-
Yeah, I know, but I have a plugin that shows me awesome photos when I open a new tab... Tabliss.
-
@davesaddiction Do you just start typing the URL? You can use Shift+Delete to remove suggestions.
-
@beatergt That worked, thank you.
-
@davesaddiction Go to where it is auto completing on your search homepage and click 'forget this.'
-
At least 5.
-
For now, I can say I've only loaded the Kinja site once today. That was intentional, and just to see for myself that oppokinja is really gone.
Now that I've written this, I'm surely doomed to keep making mistakes and sending myself to the wrong place.
-
@beatergt Thank you!!
Edit - it's persistent... Keeps coming back.
-
@bloody-the-resident-shitposting-saffer
Fixed! Tabliss has a quick link feature.
-
@davesaddiction nice!
-
I reinstalled Windows yesterday and haven't visited Kinja - so, zero.
-
I've basically left both pages on tab all week. Deleted Oppo.Kinja and Jalopnik pins off the browser startup this afternoon.
-
For a few days there, I had two orange Oppo wheel icons in my bookmarks bar, and told them apart by the different shade of orange used. But now that Oppo 1.0 is dead, it's automatically turned into the Kinja "K" and I guess I have no further use for it. Only one orange oppo wheel remains now. I has a sad.
-
@davesaddiction Many. Muscle memory is a hell of a drug
-
I've already dumped the kinja bookmark. Long live the hyphen!
-
I just leave a Hyphen home-page tab open on all my devices and then 'Open In New Tab' any new threads or replies I want to check out, then close them
