The Marine Corps and COVID-19

Notice that they aren’t relying on testing to see if people have it, but instead are
quarantining new people for two weeks regardless of a test result. Nine deaths out of 1.3 million people leads me to believe that being in shape and active goes a long way to fighting off disease (shocking, I know). -
This is a good view. Beyond the Covid strategy, the photos were a trip to see a number of places, rooms on MCRD and scenes I haven't seen since I did them myself.

@dipodomysdeserti or it confirms what we already know - elderly people are far more susceptible.
the elderly don't serve in the marine corps -
@nauraushaun Kind of hammers home just how unsusceptible young, healthy people are. The armed forces death rate from Covid is several orders of magnitude lower than the US death rate from seasonal flu for 2019-2020 (22k deaths). That's pretty remarkable considering how well we know how to treat the flu, and the fact that we have a vaccine for it.
