      Whilst she's not in much danger now, a full grown Lace Monitor would enjoy such a feathery snack. This one (at around 4 foot) is 'just' a teenager. The biggest one I've come across approached double this. Fortunately, in this less productive area, anything over 6 foot would be impressive.

      They are, of course, not remotely dangerous. Unless, of course, you become an immediate danger to it. This one bailed for the nearest tree as soon as we opened the door...
