My new RLC Hot Wheels Wildtrak Bronco arrived today. It's a pretty neat little model, with removable top and doors. The doors are a bit fiddly, but the top is easy to pop on and off. It'll make for a nice addition to the other HW Broncos in the collection. Eventually, I'll make a little display shelf for the various HW that are worthy of being displayed. This one will live on my desk for a little bit, although I can see my son trying to steal it for the shelf in his room.

The box is pretty neat as well. Slide it open, and the headlights on the internal packaging are "on".

Mattel/Hot Wheels will sometimes rerelease these in a different color. Hmm, a nice shade of green would be nice!

That one's especially important, because it's LaLD's "home page".

            So much good stuff!!

Wish I had been able to snag one of these when they dropped. I was on the phone with a customer and couldn't get away. Eventually I'll get one off of ebay, but after all the initial hype wears down.

@Camshaft_Chris I thought the same for the VW Bug, but I'm not going to sell a kidney to get one

@vdubyajohn That Bug is sweet. I wish I would've grabbed one.

@Huzer I didn't go for this one simply because I dont like the color. A warm color works much better on these new Broncos for me. Hopefully they release it in orange or something as I do think it's a well done casting.

@vdubyajohn @Huzer I got a bug and was pretty disappointed. There is so much molded detail that isnt painted. Especially in the bumpers and roof rack. It makes the car look really low quality in my opinion. I wouldn't bother getting one for the secondary market price.

@HotWheelsAndFriedChicken I can't say it's my favorite color. I bought this one because of the subject, of course. I do hope it's rereleased in a different color.

@vdubyajohn JOHN!!!!!! Good to see another familiar LaLD'er on here!!! How ya doin man??

And yeah, the ebay prices (as always) are just astronomical. Especially considering RLC pieces just keep increasing in production numbers, so they're not nearly as limited as they used to be. It's insane.

@Camshaft_Chris I'm well, thanks. How have you been? I've been lurking here for a while with the occasional post now and then. I followed the Kinja LaLD migration to Drive Tribe and then here. I'm trying to downsize my collection and just focus on customizing (at my level, of course. I'll never compete with the real talent here...) and keeping only my absolute favorites by each maker.
The local flea market scene is dead, which is just as well. I spent years collecting parts cars for my customs, now it's time to use them. Be well!
