UofM Running back has car stolen, cops can't find it!

@tophercrowder I don't know how but I blame Ohio State.
-
What @pos_camaro said. This is NIL money.
-
@ttyymmnn According to the article it was mom and dad's money.
-
Well, then maybe I should read the article.....
My next entirely unfounded claim will be that the parents got the money from an unnamed UM booster.

I wish my parents bought me a new Camaro when I got into college.
Not that unusual. I knew guys that played ball in college whose parents bought them a car for saving them the price of tuition.

unnamed UM booster.
I remember in the late 80s there was a UofM booster who 'hired' players at his dealership and allowed them to 'borrow' Corvettes.
It's a great gig if you are a C+ student. -

@tophercrowder Sweet NIL money, no doubt.
Bout fuckin time!
-
@ttyymmnn I mean, he's probably there on a big 'ol scholarship and that's what my parents did with their "college savings for the kids" once both my brother and I got our undergrad scholarships, though for us it was decade old Volvo wagons so maybe a touch less flashy than a camo Camaro
-
You want to feel sorry for the guy, but he is a Wolverine, so you feel conflicted
-
@amoore100 My parents were so happy for my brother finally going to community college in his late 20s that they bought him a Genesis. Then he dropped out and also quit his job at the supermarket.

That is called pulling a 'Peter Gabriel'
-
@tophercrowder Pretty sure that windshield is tinted and people who do that can go pound sand, idiots!

Well, he could be a Boilermaker. Or worse, a Buckeye.

Yep, given to the parents by the boosters who recruited him
Sorry to be salty, but coming from a large SEC school, the shenanigans were a very loosely guarded secret, even 25 years ago. I had female friends who once worked as recruiters/hostesses and...well....ewwww.
