Edit: if I know where I am I can make left and right turns no problem, but if I'm distracted or flustrated all bets are off

@Qaaaaa when I was in preschool I had a nasty cut on my right index finger that I still have a scar from. It made right/left super easy. What is odd though is that I had this same discussion with my wife last night. It’s not a fun fact that gets brought up often.

            Enjoy every sandwich.

@functionoverfashion Yeah when I'm driving I do not let her navigate, I get one of the kids to do it or I use my phone and siri. I like the gal but god damn she cannot provide driving directions to save her life.

And you may ask yourself, "Where does that highway go to?"

This is me. When I was about 5, I was playing Superman and put my right fist through the plate glass screen door. Dad cleaned me up and stitched it in the kitchen. That scar on my wrist helped me learn right and left.

@Chariotoflove birds of a feather! I was putting my fists down on the desks in the classroom and swinging myself like a gorilla and jumping from desk to desk on my fists and found a sharp edge.

@Qaaaaa I wonder if this translates to dogs? A few months back I taught the puppy left/right (in terms of which way to turn when walking on a leash). It makes walks in crowded places or inside stores so much easier. I just tell Toby which way to turn and he goes in that direction.

My sister's like that and she's a doctor. Not sure what that says about the medical profession.

Amputation of the wrong limb is not unknown.
