Oppo/Autopian DT Farewell Party - Who's coming?

The rust-prone and fearless @David-Tracy of @The-Autopian is leaving Detroit, and having a party. I know some Oppos want to be there to see him, and I plan on being there. Thus, we should plan an Oppotopian meetup, and put our planning all in one place.

The brief:

Please RSVP to David and be confirmed if you plan on heading to his shack. I plan on being at the junkyard around 3p when the festivities begin (likely in the Vibe).

The OPPOrunities for getting together would be:

Friday afternoon/evening: Dinner?
Early Saturday: Lunch?
Sunday morning: Breakfast somewhere

This is all pending other folks' availability and when they would get there. I have ideas for breakfast Sunday morning at a place local to me, just up the road from the junkyard.

The pin is on the junkyard, and the circle is the nebulous area that may or may not be the Tracy Proving Grounds. Kitty-corner from the Urban Air Trampoline and Adventure Park is a hotel I've had people stay at before that's not bad. But there's certainly other places in the area as well.

Note: To the west on 59 is Pontiac. To the south on 53 (vertical highway) is Warren.

So... Who's coming, what's your plans, and what do we want to do?

@KITT222 I JUST fired off an email to MonkeyWrenchRacing. We're not to the "can I drop off my transmission there on Feb 4" point yet, but working on it. The other guy in Detroit who might be building an engine for me has said that he wouldn't get to it until summer, but I'm still going to see if I can drop the parts off then.

Would love to bring the Fiero - but she is put away for the winter. The WRX is my daily, so I would be driving that.

@KITT222 I have RSVP'd and am committed to getting there by 3pm on Saturday one way or another, it's just everything before that that's up in the air.

We had tentatively set next Friday 1/27 as the closing for my current house & new one, because my buyer said he needed to do it by the end of the month to keep his financing. Fine, but then he went on a public housing program that has a laundry list of fixes they want done, but the contractor he hired isn't licensed in my city, and had to cancel yesterday when they found out. Chances of him getting someone else scheduled and getting the work done by the end of next week are slim.

And I can't close on the new one next week if mine doesn't close, because it's too late to pull a bridging loan in time. So, basically, if it doesn't happen next Friday, it will all have to be pushed, and I'm assuming my buyer and the guy that's selling my new house are going to want it to be on the next available date, eg, 2/3 as opposed to 2/10. I should have a better picture sometime next week, it just means I can't make firm travel schedules for Friday the 3rd yet, as far as when I would be able to get on the road and arrive at whatever waypoint

I'm going, but don't plan anything around me. I'm fairly anti-social and spending both nights a couple of hours away, so I'll show up at the junkyard, say hi, take some photos (and raid any TJs I see, which presumably there won't be any), and maybe head back to David's briefly.

@Just-Jeepin You may be surprised at the TJs there. Especially if the yard puts together a Jeep row for David (which is a distinct possibility). But no pressure, and it would be good to say hi and see the pink Tuscadero Jeep.
