Gonna be quite the experience this weekend!
Following the Instagram for Mammoth is exciting!
Definitely never seen this amount of snow and if Saturday is too crowded and doesn't even open, I won't be concerned. I'll gladly wait it out in the hotel and come early Sunday and be first on line at 0600 if I have to. Also staying for Monday so that will be an even better day without as much of a crowd. Wish I could stay all week but having to go to work is a higher priority. I'm also supposed to be moving but I guess that can wait lol.

@wrong-wheel-drive Get your fat skis out! I can't believe it'll all be skied out in a day, you're going to be floating! OMG Jelly!!
@beefchips I enjoyed reading that yesterday the only lifts open were a few of the lower mountain chairs serving low angle terrain. And people were getting stuck because it wasn't steep enough for how deep it was!

@wrong-wheel-drive Nice! Hope they've got all the lifts spinning by the time you show up.
Doesn't look like there will be any fresh snow for me this weekend, though it's been quite cold, so at least their snow making should have been productive.
@facw yeah if all the lifts are spinning I know the mountain well enough to avoid the worst of the crowds. That's the one great thing about how big the place is that when fully open, it's easy to spread out. Long lines only happen when half the mountain is closed.
@wrong-wheel-drive That ain't nothin. Get back to me when they have to clear a path for the chairlift.
j/k Wish i was there!

@wrong-wheel-drive Jerry of the Day had video yesterday at Squaw-Alpine and people were getting stuck going down the lower angle runs, it looks to be 3-4 feet of snow on the intermediate runs that are usually groomed.
