From just now on my FB feed for my little town. Tell me the cops can't make humours:

      St. Marys Police Department
      43m ·
The following may be a first in St. Marys. City Smitty Drive at Borrell Boulevard is currently blocked . . . by a derailed train. There is a train car perfectly blocking the roadway. No one was injured and the St. Marys Railroad is working to get things back on track. You see what we did there?
The Railroad estimates it will take about three hours to clear things up so please avoid that area. Traffic is backed up nearly 15 feet so please avoid that area. If you don't notice the train car across the road, Public Works put a barricade in place to provide an additional clue. Even if you move the barricade, which you're not supposed to do, you still won't be able to cross. That's because of the train blocking the road.
Just so you don't feel like you need to see this in person, we've attached a couple of photos.

@barnie The last part about not moving barricades should be added more often. Working at water main breaks we often have people move road closed signs and become irate when they discover the road IS closed.

@kiltedpadre You're telling me they close roads for a reason? What about all those times I sped past a rolling blockade along the interstate and didn't run over a construction worker?

@derpwagon “But I’m in that house right there.”
That’s typically said while pointing at the first house on the wrong side of the big hole in the road.

A couple years ago a woman a couple hours away from here drove around a barrier blocking a flooded road. Wound up in the river. Her 3 or 4 year old son died. Heed the barriers!

Actually representative of all traffic jams in my little town. 10 cars at the light on 5-lane Osborne St at rush hour is a lot. 🙂

I think I remember that. Somewhere around Orangeville was it?

@smallbear Yeah, out that way I think.

Edit. Yep grand river near orangeville. Apparently she was charged with impaired driving causing death, dangerous driving causing death and criminal negligence causing death. Oh yeah, and lost her kid. Some folks.

                                  You mean rush minute?

I like those kinds of towns.

@kiltedpadre When the ATM got stolen in town here, police had the road blocked off. The number of people who climbed over the police tape or tried to get around the police vehicles blocking the roadway was incredible. People are dumb.
