There are various other BMWs I consider switching out the ZHP for...but lately I've been drawn more to Mercs. Don't have the time nor much interest to do track days, auto-x, etc...looking more for fun family cruisers, which the three pointed star seems to offer some interesting options for. I also can't bring myself to ever by an auto car that I know came in a manual (at least as a fun toy), so the wife can drive it - so going Merc/AMG helps get around that issue too.

@zhp-sparky-the-5th The late 2000s early 2010s C Class had the option of a stick. There was even one for sale near me once.

@whoistheleader Yeah you're right - but only on like the c230 or whatever right, and it wasn't anything particularly praise worthy. If I'm going Merc I'm also going to scratch my V8 itch (never had one), so that squarely gets me out of manual transmission territory in all cases.
