My new approach to lowballerz

You can have it for your insulting price if you can get here in the same amount of minutes; crystal maze style!
This may not work so well for cars but I guess you could give them it in seconds!
UPDATE: happy ending, after 17 enquiries I sold it in less than a day to a guy who showed up within an hour and shoved the asking price in cash into my hand.
I deliberately priced it lower than everything else on there to get rid of it quick which made the lowballers particularly egregious.
Crap I just realized I have to sell the old microwave too -
@zipfuel Shit, I'm going to be standing outside your house and then low ball you.
-
@zipfuel Approve of this, but you have to actually call it “your insultingly low ball price” in the text.
-
@chariotoflove I was contemplating sending them a buzzer at 11:15 along with this gif
-
@zipfuel why not? Do it.
-
@zipfuel I like this technique!
-
@zipfuel When it comes to vehicles, I generally offer them a piece of the car for their offer, or I just become a dick.
When I had the Acclaim for sale, I had it listed at $1k firm. I figure $1k for a trouble free car that needs nothing is more than reasonable.
Buyer #1: Hey, I only have $500, can we work a deal.
Me: Sure, I'll sell you the wheels and tires for $500, you can come get the car when you get the rest of the money.
No response followed.
Buyer #2: Hey, I'll have $600 when I get paid next week, I'd like to come get the car from you.
Me: Damn man, I'd love to sell it to you, too bad you're still $400 short.
Buyer #2: Well if I can scrape together $700 would you take it?
Me: Sure, I'll take the $700, then I'll hold the car until you can come up with another $700.
Buyer #2: But that's $1400?!?
Me: So you do know how math works......
No response follows.
I've also started just counter offering something double my asking price, which leads to some fun as well.

@e90m3 I want this thing off my property ASAP, that's why it's low priced to start. I was actually prepared to give it away if a friend needed it.
If they could get it gone in ten minutes I'd consider that worth it. -
@zipfuel why not handle them the way mature adults do? Take the item, shoot it full of holes, then set it on fire, and post the video on social media, and blame all the low ballers for making you destroy it?
-
@ranwhenparked Exactly that may have happened to the outhouse on my property, maybe
No video, that would get a man in trouble
-
@ranwhenparked I think the better response would be to agree to the lowball offer, have them come for it, then shoot it full of holes and light it on fire right in front of them. Film that reaction for YouTube ad dollars...
-
@zipfuel
And if they do show up in time, let 'em wait and open up the door once it's too late... -

Ah.. well in that case, I would rather give it away to a friend... assuming I didn't need the extra cash that badly.
-
@zipfuel also works for your kid's school laptop if he's late coming down to dinner one night
-
@manwich I offered it around first, only friend who responded was thinking about making it into a Keg cooler but I'm pretty sure with the way the icebox and compressor intrude on this unit you couldn't do that
