      Bad take du jour: derailleurs are overrated 🙂

      Seriously loving this thing so far, carries speed really well. MKS clip pedals and a saddle that isn't terrible are both on the way. If I lived somewhere flat, could totally see it as an only bike with wider tires for gravel.

        @spacekraken man you're not helping stop my want of one of these!

          @jminer How hilly are your routes? It's a real leg blaster running fixed, especially braking down hills without the ability to coast... which is part of the fun lol. But that lack of freewheel also means it carries speed incredibly well once you're moving at a decent clip. Think I'll eventually remove the rear brake for simplicity, but always keep the front just for panic stops.

            @spacekraken Pretty flat, but a geared bike is still a solid workout for me anyway so no real need for it other than wanting another bike and the desire for simplicity.

              It does have some delights...

              Take the hard road and walk it. Because hedges aren't as soft as they look.

                @silentbutnotreallydeadly interesting rig there!

                @spacekraken agreed. Derailleurs are for wussies. But I'm keeping my freewheel damnit.
