Wow if that thing backfires it'll really get your attention.
I wonder how warm it gets driving that thing too.

@onlytwowheels Seems like it would be an ideal vehicle for Antarctica if you could ever get traction.

I think the fumes might get to you first, so the backfire might just bring you back to consciousness.

@onlytwowheels That car looks perfectly safe. Those seat belts look like they are tacked down with at least two strips of tape.

I watched the video listed in the add. Those who thought it might be a bit loud are underestimating the noise level.

@onlytwowheels get a different set of wheels and a little more safety 'n its ready. While we're at it may aswell make it a LLLLLLLLLOOOOOOONNNNNG hood and shorten the roof

Ok, so I see the how pretty clearly, but am a little confused about the why.
Better weight distribution? sure, but would any racing series in the world let you run this thing.
"Just cuz" is all I got and it seems like rather sexy car to have that done to it

Of course it's safe! Just listen to what the builder has to say about how he integrated advanced safety technology into the build:

"I designed the steering column for 'safety breakaway':
...if there is a major collision, the steering wheel will absorb the occupant's weight
and the column itself, by the inherent geometry, will instantly bend (fold up)
-the steering shaft uses a very stout water pump bearing! -feels good."

                              Take that Volvo!

I'm actually kind of impressed by what this guy did. I would never want to drive it - or even be on the same road with it - but I do love how freaking weird this thing is. It's been a while since I last saw a tunnel ram too so a few bonus points for that.
