From the Barn to the Track: Fiat 500
-
Watch a Fiat 500 get transformed in Italy.
-
@boxer_4 I have this on my playlist to watch this weekend and haven't got around to it....looking forward to it!

@boxer_4 Thank you! Wife went to visit her sister, I was about to play a movie in Italian (Iโve been learning it as we want to live there part-time in 15 years or so), and I saw this link. Awesome video, very cool bunch of guys.
I was shocked to see that they preferred to cut out whole panels instead of repairing a bit of rust. Ed China would be displeased.
I canโt remember last time Iโve seen anyone this happy with a little car. Well, maybe me when I bought my second Abarth
@Spasoje, you need this engine/tranny combo for your Zastava.
-
@musashi66 it would definitely be more reliable than mine is right now
-
@musashi66 Meanwhile, I'm appreciative of the English subtitles.
Davide has a great video style and a lot of great content.
I was a bit surprised as well with how they handled the panel repair. Perhaps due to the construction of the 500 and how cheap I imagine new panels would be, maybe that's why they went the route they did?
-
@boxer_4 Not sure - they made it obvious that the new panels were not the same quality as the original panels, and yet they replaced them. Some of them were beyond repair, but the rear drivers side seemed like it just needed the corner by the bumper fixed - rest seemed fine.
It was a great show. I need the subtitles, but I catch a lot of words I know. Iโm still very much a beginner.
This level beginner

@musashi66 Maybe it was a time versus value thing. The new panels were inferior but I think he said overall that this example wasn't worth much. He probably couldn't justify the panel work but still wanted it looking nice.
That's still more Italian than I know!
