Corolla took a rock to the face today. The result is 2 chips and what appears to be an area of delamination. That bubble looking spot next to the chip appears to be a bubble in the lamination layers. Gotta either get it fixed or hope that the bottom left corner of the windshield gets considered to be outside the driver's line of sight so that it will continue to pass inspection. I'm really hoping they can repair it because it would be over a grand for the insurance deductible and having Toyota recalibrate safety sense (Insurance does cover having Safelite calibrate the system but I don't trust the Safelite dude to calibrate a system that has the authority to throw on the anchors whenever it thinks I am going to hit something so it will be going to Toyota if the glass comes out). Glass and I have a bad relationship right now, first my dog swipes my phone out of my hand onto a tile floor, breaking the back glass, and now this.

@theturbochargedsquirrel Oh man, that sucks, and entirely unavoidable.
-
@theturbochargedsquirrel Well shit, here I was wishing for some Corolla content from you, but not like this.
-
@longtime-lurker Corolla content will come once it's clean again. Vermont winters mean it's more brown than blue right now.

@theturbochargedsquirrel The urethane repairs are pretty good these days. Not sure about where you live but here as long as it's not within the wiper path you're good. I think you might be able to have a couple within the path as long as they're not too big.
You could always call up the insurance company and decrease your deductible in case something like this happens in the future.
