Dang these look nice, hope a new run starts soon!

I dig the slight color taper of the dye as they are milled down.

Is #9 claimed yet? If yes, I'm in.
If not, count me in for the second run!!! One of these would look so sweet in my Honda Beat when I get it.
@smugaardvark Nice pic, and I'm glad you like it!
@miss-mercedes #9 is still available, so it's yours if you want it!
Let me know what shape you want and what threads you need, and I'll get started on it.

@CobraJoe does the numeral dye go into the material like the color, or is it surface only? Have you played with making a smaller diameter round?
Or perhaps an oddball design like the Tommy Kaira 'Heavy Baby' shift knob?
I'm unsure of the diameter, but it appears to be a 1/2 sphere with a 'rule of 3s' bottom taper (1/3 sphere, 2/3 taper to boot).
@orneryduck The number is in the material, but it doesn't go very deep (maybe .05"). The white spot or the stripe goes all the way through though.
That Tommy Kaira knob looks great, but I'm using a metal lathe to cut the knobs, so a spherical or concave cut requires special tooling that I don't have yet.
Someday in the future, I'd like to get a hobby CNC mill, so I could flatten the top and cut in a shift pattern. Probably won't happen anytime soon though.

#7 is installed and looking pretty!
I knew it'd be a gamble to get a burgundy / brown pool ball that was anywhere close to my seats, but it's close enough to fulfill the intent and the fitment is great!
And the way the knob color lightens up a bit around the ridges kinda 'mimics' the cream color piping for the seats too, so that actually worked in my favor, though I know you were worried about that.
Super happy with it; thanks again!
@flatisflat Thanks for the pic! I'm glad it fits well and I'm glad you're happy with the color shift. I really hope I can figure out a pattern with the color changing, it would be helpful to be able to predict it.
Last one from this batch!
I like the look of the skeleton, but turns out my grooving tool creates a lot of heat. I had a lot of discoloration from heat to clean up. If I cant figure that problem out, I might not offer the skeleton design in the future.

@cobrajoe OOOoo if you're making another run anytime soon, I'd love to snag one!
@needs_moe_vtec I'm not sure how soon, but I will do more. I have some other projects to catch up on, and there might be some life events slowing projects down too.
Either way, I'll be sure to post when I'm able to make more.
Thank you to everyone who bought a knob! And thank you to everyone who was interested! I learned a lot in this first run, from what's easily done to what's difficult, and what is downright a pain.
I am planning on doing another run, but I have some other projects to catch up on, and some life events happening soon. I will be sure to post here or on Swappo when I get the next run going. (I'll also try to tag people next time that expressed interest here, but I could very likely miss someone.)

@cobrajoe If you're tagging people when that happens, I'm in.
