Hey @dtg11 , the second package arrived! For those that don’t recognize the pattern, it’s the map of Dallas and surroundings etched into the glass. Truly an unusual and awesome gift!

It seems pretty sturdy, but I’ll be taking extra care with it! Also, it came in bubble wrap, which to me is a bonus gift.

I have a high school friend who moved to Florida many years ago. She keeps a map of Indy on her wall as a poster. She considers the city her little secret down there. A great place that no one around her knows about. I feel the same.

About 10 years ago, when there was still a map store downtown, I worked in the building next door and would periodically drop by to remind myself how much I loved maps.

I got a quote from them for what it would take to convert a Delorme atlas to a wall map of Indiana. I wish I had pulled the trigger before they closed.
